Ahead of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Hyderabad visit this evening, local TDP leaders erected TDP flex boards and hoardings along the roadside.

However, BRS leaders and supporters were displeased with the act and resorted to their old formula of stirring regional political debates.

A BRS supporter shared a video on social media showcasing TDP hoardings on either side of the road. He wrote, “Those whose rule we opposed to get our Telangana are now back, displaying their flags on our land.”

This has been an age-old tactic used by BRS leaders against parties and leaders from Andhra Pradesh, saying “Andhra Pethanam in Telangana”.

Whether it’s KCR, KTR, or any other BRS leader, they often try to hit the regional sentiments of people whenever the TDP cadre tries to hold a rally or erect hoardings in Hyderabad.

Ironically, the same BRS leaders erected huge flex boards, hoardings and even opened party offices across Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh when KCR planned to enter national politics by changing the party name from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

This hypocrisy has led people to question BRS leaders, wondering if they fear that TDP might reestablish itself in Telangana.

There is no rule stopping a party’s cadre from erecting hoardings or promoting their party in any state. If BRS wants to stop TDP, they should defeat the party in elections, but not by raising these debates on social media.

On top of that, people are also not in a position to stand by BRS’s old tactics anymore.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu will land in Hyderabad at around 6 pm today. TDP cadre will welcome him in grandly by holding a rally from the Begumpet Airport to Naidu’s residence in Jubilee Hills Road No. 65.
