AP Govt. to fight T-nativity rule in courts!

Telangana-nativity-rule

The Fees reimbursement issue in Telangana is continuing to make news. Firstly, it was fine with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao telling that he will not pay the fees of Andhra people studying in Telangana. AP responded well by saying it would pay the fees of its own students. But KCR went on to further tweak the rules by telling that it is not enough if a student from Andhra claims Telangana nativity by virtue of the fact that he/she is studying in the state for the last four years. Telangana Government will reimburse fees for students whose father too have Telangana nativity.

This rule of Telangana government is against the nativity criterion setup by the President of India. It is not just about fees, if one goes by this criterion, students will lose the nativity advantage in job opportunities as well despite being settled in Telangana several years ago. Andhra Pradesh Ministers have already met Governor and complained regarding this issue and even wants to fight out a legal battle if necessary.
