Reports are emerging that a new media house is coming up in Andhra Pradesh and will have its headquarters in Vijayawada. The Media Channel is named ‘AP Times’ and is said to be funded by a big businessman in Andhra Pradesh.

The Test Signal of the channel will be relayed from Ugadi Festival and the formal launch will happen at a later date. There are numerous News Channels in Telugu and we are seeing lot more cropping up every month. However, all these channels are operating out of Hyderabad and are behaving ‘alien’ to Andhra Pradesh needs and aspirations, according to many.
So this demand of a media centered in AP is big for a very long time. It has to be seen what is the political affiliation of this channel. It can be guessed easily when the names of the channel promoters are revealed.
