State Election Commissioner, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar had fired two more letters to Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary, Adityanath Das. He asked the CS to remove Government Adviser, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
The Opposition calls Sajjala as the defacto Chief Minister who will call the shots in the party as well as the Government. Nimmagadda also directed the CS to relieve Principal Secretary, Praveen Prakash from Election Duties.
In the letter, the SEC stated that it was Praveen Prakash who gave instructions to the Collectors and SPs not to attend the Video-conference with the SEC which ensured the postponement of the first phase Panchayat elections.
Praveen Prakash calls the shots in the CMO with the entire administration reporting to him. We have seen how former Chief Secretary LV Subrahmaniam shunted out because of the differences with Praveen Prakash. YSR Congress supporters allege that this is an attempt to disarm Jagan by targeting Sajjala and Praveen Prakash.
It has to be seen how the Government responds to these orders of the SEC.
