Jagan’s style of politics can be extremely different from the conventional methods that we generally see in the Telugu political equilibrium. This comment was made by veteran Chandrababu itself earlier.
A brief portion of this could perhaps be on display if we look at the latest case of Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
After facing countless allegations of fraud and corruption, Balineni left YCP after the defeat in the 2024 election. In reality, the defeat wasn’t the only reason behind his defection either. He was already agitated with Jagan for not giving a cabinet position earlier in his government before 2024. This snowballed after 2024 defeat.
Now he has smartly and conveniently shifted to Janasena. He has somehow managed to win the trust of deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and has even been making media appearances on behalf of the party.
But what he did last afternoon was way out of the line as far as the Kutami alliance goes in Andhra Pradesh. He made severe allegations against Ongole sitting MLA Damacharla Janaradhan by accusing him of money extortion and extreme financial crimes. He further said his faction is being targeted by the local TDP MLA and there’s no balance in power between TDP and Janasena.
Whatever might be his internal opinion on this matter, this public statement from Balineni will certainly put out a bad picture of the NDA alliance in the public. This is exactly what Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu had been advising against.
Meanwhile, local TDP MLA Damacharla had been communicating that Balineni is still a YCP covert and he’s looking to break the TDP and JSP bonding. This is perfectly understandable if we watch the recent actions from Balineni, where he has been repeatedly speaking against TDP.
Event to this day, not everyone believes that Balineni is a true blue Kutami leader as many have apprehensions that he has Jagan loyalty inside him strongly. The real question is how Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan would deal with this situation while a member of his own party is breaking alliance spirit in the public.
