Bandi Sanjay was a Former BJP State President and is a serving Member of Parliament. He is also a Union Minister right now.
But Bandi is notoriously famous for making irresponsible comments. Most of the times he gets away making silly and unsubstantial comments. Bandi believes such comments make him famous but they only damage his reputation and the BJP’s reputation.
A couple of weeks ago, Bandi Sanjay said that KCR has a Printing Press in Bidar where he prints Fake Currency. He even said it is the same money BRS candidates spend in all the elections.
Being the MoS of Home Affairs, it is a very irresponsible statement to make, but Bandi is as such.
Today, he made another comment. He says that Congress and BRS are plotting to bring another bifurcation to the nation in the name of the North and South divide.
“They are trying to provoke in the name of the southern states. They are conspiring to divide the country. The Congress and BRS parties are making anti-national comments. The Congress party has already divided the country in the name of religion. Now they are conspiring to divide the country in the name of the southern states. They should be stoned to death,” said Bandi Sanjay.
Bandi Sanjay is obviously upset about Revanth Reddy and KTR attending the meeting of MK Stalin against the Delimitation.
Delimitation is a genuine issue in the Southern States. If the Delimitation is done on a Population Basis, the MP seats in the Southern States will decrease, and so will be the Political Influence of the states.
The Southern States are expressing doubts if the Parliament Seats will decrease as they have implemented strict Population Control measures while the seats in the North will increase, as they did not take any such measures in the last two decades.
Fewer Parliament Seats mean less leverage on the Government of India.
Alread,y the National Parties are known for their Stepmother attitude towards the South if they were able to come to Power regardless of their performance in the South, it is detrimental to the interests of the Region.
In fact, BJP leaders like Bandi Sanjay should exert pressure on the Government from their side and assure people that they will handle that issue instead of giving a chance to parties like Congress and BRS.
Instead, Bandi tries to brush the issue under the carpet and counter-attack the Opponents in the name of dividing the country, Pakistan, Hindu-Muslim, Anti-national, etc.
Patriotism should not be a tool to brush under the carpet the important issues like Delimitation
There is a famous saying “Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel”. The words are too harsh to use on those in power but then, that is what is happening.
