The polling of the 2024 elections concluded in Andhra Pradesh a couple of weeks ago. Many post-poll surveys and analysts have opined that the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance will win the assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh by a big margin.

Meanwhile, significant bets are also being placed on the victory of alliance parties in various constituencies across the state.

Reportedly, YCP leaders in places like Vijayawada Central, Mylavaram, Penamaluru, Gannavaram, Gudivada, and Manchilipatnam are disappointed after the polling. It is heard that despite 1:2 bet ratios in these constituencies, no one is ready to bet on YCP.

In Gannavaram, bets are not placed on the win but on the majority of alliance candidate Yarlagadda Venkatrao. On the other side, no one seems to be showing interest in betting on YCP contestant Vallabhaneni Vamsi.

In Bapulapadu Mandal, some people placed a Rs. 10 lakh bet, saying that Venkatrao would get a majority of more than 10,000 votes, while YCP leaders bet that he would not achieve that majority.

YCP leader Kodali Nani is also facing a similar situation in his constituency Gudivada. Here, bets are being placed at a 1:2 ratio on the victory of TDP candidate Venigandla Ramu. A few people from Nuziveedu have placed bets worth Rs. 20 lakhs at this ratio. No one is coming forward to bet on Nani despite of high stakes.

On the whole, YCP leaders seem to have morally accepted their defeats in the Gannavaram and Gudivada constituencies and are showing reluctance to place bets on their party’s candidates.
