The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will take place in two weeks. Counting will begin at 8 am on June 4th. In some constituencies, candidates are betting heavily on their victory and majority. Raghurama Krishna Raju, a prominent leader in Andhra Pradesh, has contested for the Assembly on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party.
In the last election, he contested for the Lok Sabha from Narasapuram as a YSRCP candidate and won. However, after criticizing CM Jagan, the AP government took action against Raghurama, leading him to stay in Delhi for four years. He joined the Telugu Desam Party a few days before the current election.
Betting is rampant in the constituency regarding Kanumuru Raghu Rama Krishna Raju’s victory. Many are confident that the alliance candidate will win. Some are betting that Raghurama will secure a majority of 15,000 votes, while others believe the majority will not be that large.
It is reported that up to Rs. 35 crores are being wagered on Raghurama’s victory. In some places, even lands are being bet. Punters in one Mandal are staking their lands, betting on Raghurama’s victory and majority.
