Telangana State Government is dealing with rumourmongering with an iron fist in the time of the Corona Crisis. Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police, so far, have registered Ten Cases so far on various fake news on the social media including Whatsapp.
Cases were registered on various issues like the Opening of Liquor shops, Fake Conversations of Doctors and Journalists, Army coming to enforce Lockdown in Telangana, and Red Zones in Hyderabad. The investigation is going on and the Cyber Crime will begin arrests very soon.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and DGP, M. Mahendar Reddy have repeatedly warned of cases on Rumour mongering but the fake news continues to go abated. So, the Cyber Crime Department had swung into action and started registering cases.
According to the last medical bulletin given on Sunday 8 PM, there are 70 cases registered in the state.
