Bidding Soars High for Modi’s Souvenir Suit

modi suit auctionIf Modi’s Bandhgala Suit hadn’t been so controversial, it wouldn’t have attracted unexpedted high bidding. The auction actually opened to a enviable bidding for Modi’s suit at Rs.1.21 Crore by a Surat-based Textile businessman who wanted to acquire Modi’s suit to keep it as souvenir life long. But he was disappointed as another person from Surat came forward to bid Rs.1.25 crore.

It didn’t stop at this. In a fresh bidding on Thursday, Modi’s suit received Rs.1.39 crore bidding by a Surat-based diamond trader Mukhesh Patel followed by another whooping Rs.1.41 crore in quick succession by a Bhavnagar-based Ship-breaker and diamond trader Komalkant Sharma. He is even ready to increase the bidding amount tomorrow if necessary for a noble cause of ‘Clean Ganga Mission’.

Besides the controversial suit, 455 items are in auction for bidding. All these items are received as gifts by Narendra Singh Modi these 9 months as the Prime Minister of India. The amount generated from this auction would go to Modi’s ‘Clean Ganga Mission’ and the way the bidding amounts are soaring, it will be no surprise that cleaning Ganga isn’t going to be a distant dream anymore.
