Chandrababu Naidu released the second list of candidates contesting in the upcoming elections.
This list has 34 names and with the 94 names announced earlier, the total number of seats announced goes up to 128.
The names of the MP candidates did not figure in this list as well.
This is leading to speculations that the seat-sharing between BJP and TDP-Janasena is not complete.
Rumors are that even though BJP is fine with the number, it is insisting on the seats where TDP is strong.
The party reportedly is insisting on one seat from Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam.
TDP is skeptical about giving either because those are important and strong seats of TDP and BJP is guaranteed to lose due to Vote-transfer issues.
Kesineni Chinni and Sri Bharat are the candidates of TDP from Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP coterie in BJP is propagating that the BJP High command is insisting on more MP seats for the party. They say BJP’s high command is targeting at least ten MP seats from the alliance.
Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan published the seat-sharing press note on their Twitter handles two days ago but BJP did not do that.
Already the 10 MLA seats and 8 MP seats given to the BJP are invoking negativity from all quarters.
People are saying that this is a complete waste for a party with less than 1% Vote Share. Anything more than that will not serve well for the interests of the alliance.
There are also reports that BJP is offering two MLA seats for Janasena for the exchange of two MP seats they have in case Pawan Kalyan is not contesting for the Parliament.
In such a case, Janasena will not have a chance for representation in the Parliament.
