
BJP Anakapalli MP C M Ramesh has raised the issue of Andhra Pradesh liquor scam in Lok Sabha today during the Zero Hour. He said the AP scam was 10 times bigger than that of Delhi liquor scam.
In the five years YSRCP was in power, they made transactions worth Rs 1 lakh crore. All transactions were made with cash and nothing was in digital format, he pointed out in Lok Sabha.

Ramesh said the liquor policy was changed between 2019-2024 and the business shifted from private shops to government shops. All employees were contract workers recruited by the government.
Compared to Rs 2500 liquor scam in Delhi, the Andhra Pradesh scam stood at Rs 30,000 crore which is ten times the amount, asserted Ramesh.

He demanded that a full-blown probe into the scam must be done by the Center.
The AP government has already issued a white paper on the alleged scam and promised to involve CID and ED in the probe. The AP government has maintained it was not vendetta politics but made it clear that all involved will be punished.
