Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party is a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP.
After joining hands with the BJP, Pawan was used by the party for its electoral campaign in a few instances. Earlier this year, he campaigned for the BJP candidates in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur and Raichur during the Lok Sabha elections. Before that, he campaigned for the BJP candidates in Telangana Assembly Elections.
Now, the BJP decided to take Pawan’s help once again in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections. According to the latest reports, Pawan Kalyan will campaign for the NDA (BJP, Shinde’s Shiv Sena and NCP) in Maharashtra on November 16 and 17. The places of his visit are expected to be announced soon.
Reports stated that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda asked Pawan to campaign for the party in Maharashtra.
Lately, Pawan Kalyan has gained prominence in national politics due to his proximity to the BJP’s high command and his powerful statements regarding the Sanatana Dharma. His recent statements during the Tirupati Laddu row also made him a trend nationwide on social media. BJP is hoping that Pawan’s recent political prominence and his popularity as a movie star will help the party in the elections.
The polling in Maharashtra will be held on November 20. The results will be out on November 23.
