Pawan Kalyan Upset, Mistake Is Bonda Uma’s!

Bonda Uma and Pawan Kalyan Assembly clash

There is a minor tussle between Bonda Uma and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in the Assembly today.

In the Question Hour, Bonda Uma raised the issue of Pollution Control Board Chairman Krishnaiah who was being negligent towards the appeals of the MLAs.

Apparently, Bonda Uma approached him with a complaint and Krishnaiah was not heeding.

“He never cares for the MLAs. The Chairman is negligent and gives a feeling if the board exists or not. He always tries to escape saying the instructions should come from the Deputy CM, the Deputy CM said not to do work, the Deputy CM is not available. Honorable DCM should speak to him and rap the board and make it work,” Bonda Uma told the house.

“Krishnaiah says I have seen many MLAs like you. He should remember people like you are in that post because MLAs have won,” Bonda Uma added.

Uma questioned why Ramky (YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP’s company) was let off by the Pollution Board.

Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju tried to stop the issue saying it is not proper to take the names of those not in the house and the issue is not related to the ongoing topic.

But some members intervened and said Krishnaiah is present in the house.

It was then, Pawan Kalyan rose in his seat and gave an explanation.

He explained how the PCB is severely understaffed and are under severe work pressure. He also said a show-cause notice was served to Ramky and action was taken.

During his speech, Pawan Kalyan sounded very annoyed and also mentioned that it is not right to say he is not available as he brought several reforms in the Pollution Board.

It is clear that Bonda Uma may have some issue with the PCB Chairman and Krishnaiah may have said those words. But then, it should not have been discussed in the house when the entire state is watching.

He just embarrassed the Deputy Chief Minister knowingly unknowingly and it may become a tool in the hands of the Opposition next.

Uma should have brought it to the notice of the Chief Minister or the Deputy CM directly. This is totally unnecessary when the bonhomie is very good between both the parties.

Pawan Kalyan was dragged into the issue because he holds the portfolio of Forests and Environment.

On the other hand, Krishnaiah is a TDP nominee in that nominated post.

Krishnaiah, a retired IAS officer, served as the chairman of APIIC during the previous TDP government. He is very close to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He is also a trustee of the NTR Trust, which belongs to the Chandrababu Naidu family.

So, if Bonda Uma do not have access to Pawan Kalyan, he should have brought it to the notice of the Chief Minister.

What he did today in the Assembly is totally unnecessary even though the issue may be genuine.
