These people used to draw salaries from AP Digital Corporation and AP Fibernet. But then, the payments have stopped since the election defeat, and the party is also not paying. The Legal Support arranged by the party is also of little use to the affected.

So, they are struggling and many popular Social Media Accounts are terrified and have deactivated their accounts.

More than the Government’s actions, the way the courts are being unapologetic in these cases is worrying them the most.

Initially, they thought the courts would quash these cases easily in the name of ‘Freedom of Speech’ but it is not the case.

On the other hand, the recently implemented Bharat Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has clearly denied the punishments for Social Media Abuse.

Sections 196 and 197 of the BNS make it a crime to spread hate speech or incite violence through social media or other online platforms

Section 356 of the BNS penalizes the act of publishing defamatory or false posts on social media that harm an individual’s reputation.

The punishment under these sections is up to three years in prison and a fine.

So, this will be a big blow to YSR Congress Social Media in the days to come.
