Ever since Congress came into power, many BRS leaders and MLAs have been meeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy personally.
While some have officially joined Congress, others have stated that they met the CM only to discuss concerns within their respective constituencies.
Previously, BRS MLAs such as Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, and Manik Rao had met Revanth personally at his residence.
Despite rumours suggesting their potential jump to Congress, they clarified during a press meet that their discussions revolved solely around issues within the joint Medak district.
Recently, Rajendra Nagar MLA Prakash Goud’s meeting with Revanth also became a hot topic in the political circles.
Now, Bhadrachalam BRS MLA Thellam Venkat Rao met Revanth along with his family members, fueling speculation about his potential shift to Congress. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Rao also accompanied him.
Despite claims that their discussions centred on constituency matters, rumours suggest that Venkat Rao may shift to Congress soon.
Venkat Rao also happened to meet Revanth just a day after the Assembly election results were declared in December. Back then, it was speculated that he would join Congress, but it didn’t happen.
