Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao had warned the TV channels to refrain from unnecessary defaming of Telangana people and government. Mr.Rao lashed out a TV program ’Bullet News’ of TV9 which showed Telangana MLAs in a very bad taste. He also lashed out at Andhra Jyothy News paper for circulating false news about the functioning of Telangana government. He warned the news channels not to cross the line lest they should face action by his government.
KCR also made an interesting remark on this occasion. “If the attitude of media towards Telangana people and government continues to be the same, our government will be forced to take up the cable TV by the state government just as in Tamil Nadu”, KCR said. Immediately after KCR’s speech in Assembly,TV9 editor ran an apology for the defaming comments on Telangana Assembly and promised not to repeat it.
