Burnt Ratnachal Bogies going for auctionThe violence that erupted in Tuni after Kapu Gharjana meeting couple of months ago, is one of the black marks in the history of Andhra Pradesh. Several bogies of Ratnachal Express were burnt that day and the damages to the train alone amounted to 20 Crore. South Central Railway is gearing up for the sale of the burnt bogies.

These bogies will go as scrape. The tenders for the total 17 burnt bogies were called for. These bogies were recently brought to Vijayawada for Tuni and are now auctioned. Those quoting highest prices will get the tender. The violence that erupted that day costed 103 Crore in total.

Luckily, the state government managed to stop the agitation giving due promises to the community and their leader, Mudhragada Padmanabham. The issue has all chances of panning in to a potential caste rift and could cause law and order issue across the state. There are also the allegations of political involvement in the violence.
