Capital Land Pooling Issue surfaces in Hyd HC

high-court-ghmcThe Land Pooling in the capital villages of Andhra Pradesh finally reached Hyderabad High Court. Some persons claiming to be the farmers of Tadepalli and Mangalagiri filed a petition in high court that government is forcibly pooling land for the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The high court had asked the attorney General to come up with the government’s explanation regarding this allegation. This is the first time the land pooling issue reached the courts and it is interesting to see how they react.

On the other side, the government managed to pool in a little over 22000 acres so far. CRDA officials are trying their level best to complete the land pooling by this month end. River side farmers who are reluctant to part with their lands are hoping that the government will increase the compensation further.
