A case has been registered in Gudivada against YCP leader Kodali Nani, AP Beverages’ former MD Vasudeva Reddy and former Krishna district Joint Collector and current East Godavari district collector, Madhavilatha Reddy.
Gudivada’s Autonagar area resident Duggirala Prabhakar filed a complaint against them in the 2-Town Police Station, alleging that they are indirectly the reason behind the death of his mother.
Prabhakar stated that he owns a beverage godown. After YCP came into power in 2019, a person named Ram Gopal Reddy, who is in the same business, tried to take down Prabhakar’s business.
With the help of Vasudeva Reddy and Madhavi Latha Reddy, men were sent to demolish Prabhakar’s godown. He stated that the entire act occurred under the supervision of Kodali Nani.
Prabhakar’s mother confronted the situation as her godown was burning down. She called Vasudeva Reddy. He did not react and, instead, abused her.
After that incident, she was distraught and died within a few days. No one took Prabhakar’s complaint seriously as YCP was in power at that time.
Therefore, he has filed his complaint now, after the change in government. He requested the police to take appropriate action against those involved.
