Caste Blindness: A Perfect Example

Pawan Kalyan BalakrishnaBalakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy had a clash with Megastar Chiranjeevi earlier this year, and initially, it was trending slightly ahead of Waltair Veerayya for pre-sales. Immediately, a section of fans sprung into action and started propagating that Kammas were making bulk bookings for Balakrishna in U.S.

It is known that Veera Simha Reddy made about $700K from premieres and ended up with around $1 million. These caste-blinded fans further started proving that after Kammas’ bulk booking was over, the film did not make much money.

Now, what is happening for BRO is a mirror of Veera Simha Reddy. BRO made close to $650K from premieres and fell significantly after that. The first crucial weekend, BRO made a paltry $200K on each day and totally crashed from Sunday onwards.

When it comes to box-office numbers, Pawan Kalyan is a much bigger star than Balakrishna, yet the film failed to post Tier-1 hero numbers once the premieres were over. Does it make sense if someone says there were bulk bookings for Pawan Kalyan from his community fans?

Some fans say both are different as Bro recorded much bigger numbers after Premieres when compared to Veera Simha Reddy. But then, the numbers may be different but the range of the fall is same. The post-premiere numbers of Bro may look a bit more but that is just because PK is a much bigger star but the overall scenario is the same.

It is sad to see even a section of the current generation youth fans spreading hatred in the name of caste blindness and spending an insane number of hours spreading hate on social networks.

Surprisingly, these fans always blame others by bringing caste into every aspect. If someone does not like their favorite family’s hero, they immediately start caste propaganda against them.

But in reality, they can’t stand any other caste hero other than theirs. But, they think they are the most pure-hearted souls, but one look at their social media pages will make it clear in what way they are heading, despite being educated.

This section of fans can’t tolerate even a critic criticizing their hero’s film; they immediately bring in the caste angle. Such shameful behavior from the current gen youth.
