
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu will be going to Delhi tour on Monday. He has an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 4PM tomorrow and the meeting assumes significance as the 6-member committee appointed to look in to the Special Status of Andhra Pradesh will also submit its report on the same day. Chandra Babu will talk to Modi on Special Status, Funds for Capital and Polavaram issue in the meeting.
It is not clear if the issue of Special Powers to the Governor over the common capital will be taken up in this meeting. Chandra Babu Naidu is also expected to meet several Union Ministers with various proposals of development activities in the state. It is known that previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made an announcement of 5 years Special status to Andhra Pradesh in Rajya Sabha during the state bifurcation. BJP has committed to 10 years Special Status to AP in its manifesto. Telugu Desam Party led Andhra Pradesh government is demanding the Special Status for 15 years.
