Center Boycotts Turkey Air Logistics Firm

India carried out precision strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan on May 8. And one country that jumped to help Pakistan was Turkey. It called India’s act provocative and supplied arms to Pakistan.

All across India, there has been rising demand to boycott Turkish imports. Given this scenario, the Indian government has decided to revoke security clearance of Turkish company Celebi Aviation.

Going back a little, the company was given security clearance in 2022. The company does a lot of ground management, ground handling operations in airports across India. It was also involved in warehouse management, cargo management and it also managed premium lounges in some airports.

Celebi also managed passenger management system in Indian airports. Celebi is a multi-national firm that operates in three continents across various countries, with its base in Turkey.

Celebi has been operational since 1958. But India has taken a decision to stop doing business with Turkey that is openly supporting a terror country like Pakistan. In fact, after India decided to stop imports, the Turkey president Erdogan has hailed Pakistan as a brother country and seems to be unperturbed by losing business from India.
