BJP led central government is becoming insensitive over the apathy of the Cash strapped Andhra Pradesh. Despite repeated asking of declaring the quantum of Central help and time frame of doing that, the Center is trying to distance itself from the responsibility. Minister of State for Finance, Jayanth Sinha made a statement about it the other day.

Jayanth Sinha told the house that 14th Finance Commission had recommended 22,113 Crore grants-in-aid to cover the revenue deficit of the state and announced that the center will spread this amount over the next five years. He did not commit on quantum of amount per year or the timing of the help in each year.
The revenue deficit on the other side will not sit idle until Center reimburses that will grow year after year, pushing the state in to financial quagmire. The state financial officials are expecting the center to do nothing in the first three years and push some money in the last two years for political gains in the state.
