
The Central government has given the green signal for industrial parks at Kopparthi and Orvakallu under the National Industrial Corridor Programme. It will dole out Rs 3035.63 crore in the 1st phase.
Of this, Rs 1099 crore will be spent through APIIC by the state government. An agreement has been reached by National Industrial Corridor Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and AP government.

Infrastructure facilities will be developed for world-class greenfield smart city, plug & play, walk to work companies. For implementing these policies, NICDIC, APIIC have constituted a joint venture in the name of AP Industrial Corridors Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (APICDC).
As a part of Hyderabad-Bengaluru HBIC industrial corridor project, Rs 1771.19 crore will be spent on Orvakallu. The industrial node will be spread across 2624.64 acres of land.

Roads, bridges, water saving reservoirs, water treatment plants, sewerage treatment plant, administrative buildings will come up here.
Similarly, in Vizag-Chennai VCIC industrial corridor project 2596 acres of land in Kopparthi, Chittoor, has been approved by the Center for heavy industry node. For the development of infrastructure, Center will spend Rs 1264.44 crore during the 1st phase.

Along with the land for the project, Rs 2136.51 crore have been added for the project by state authorities. The state government has decided to start an industrial park in 5760 acres. Setting aside VCIC land, the state government will develop 3164 acre Park, that will be funded by the state government.
