Film actor and former MLA Jayasudha joined Telugu Desam Party a short while ago. She met TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu this morning. Jayasudha won as an MLA from Secunderabad constituency representing Congress but she badly lost from the same seat in the last elections.

This may serve as some boost to the yellow party for the upcoming GHMC elections. She told the media that it was Chandrababu who developed Hyderabad in to a global city what is today. Jayasudha is likely to influence some women and Christian voters in this crucial civic polls.
Jayasudha was not active in Congress since 2014 defeat. There are several speculations about her change of guard. She can now chose AP or Telangana politics to continue given her popularity in both the Telugu States. Interestingly she campaigned for TDP during 1999 elections.
