Chandrababu Naidu has announced a new plan to financially strengthen TDP workers, saying they will be supported to become entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri during a meeting with cluster in-charges, he said the government will introduce a policy called E3, which stands for Ethical Economic Empowerment.
Chandrababu said the idea is to connect TDP workers with benefits and subsidies from central and state schemes so they can build their own income sources instead of depending on politics.
He made it clear that politics should not be treated as a livelihood. According to him, people should enter politics to serve the public, not for personal earnings. He stressed that values like honesty and ethics are key for clean politics.
He also asked party leaders to clearly explain welfare schemes and development work at the ground level. At the same time, he said people should be made aware of the financial challenges faced by the state.
On energy, Chandrababu said the government is promoting clean energy along with clean politics. He pointed out that solar rooftop schemes are helping reduce electricity bills.
He said SC and ST households are getting free solar rooftop installations, while BC groups are receiving subsidies of up to Rs.20,000. Additional support is also coming through central schemes.
He added that people can earn income by selling surplus solar power to the grid.
Chandrababu also said the previous government increased power charges multiple times, while the current government is working to reduce the burden.
He mentioned that water will be released for crops from May 15 and also spoke about plans to appoint yoga trainers in districts.
Overall, he said the focus is on empowering TDP workers, improving governance and promoting a system based on accountability and clean politics.
