The CBN 2.0 Playbook: Austerity, AI, and the Ghost of Credits Past

Chandrababu Naidu AI governance

Chandrababu Naidu is changing how Andhra Pradesh works. He is focusing on saving government money and using high-tech tools like AI to track the state’s growth. To show he is serious about saving, he cut his own security convoy to just four cars and asked his ministers to do the same. It’s a clear move to show he’s a leader who cares about the state’s budget.

The goal for his team is a very fast 15% growth rate. He wants to use AI to check the economy every month instead of once a year. With over ₹2 lakh crore in new projects from big companies like Reliance and Adani coming in, he is trying to turn the state into a tech hub before the next election.

However, not everyone is happy. The opposition YSRCP claims that Naidu is taking credit for projects they started. They also complain that the police are being used to stop people from speaking out. While Naidu builds his “AI-first” state, the political fight over who gets the credit is still very heated.

Naidu is betting big on technology and discipline in 2026. He is trying to prove that he can lead Andhra into the future with data and efficiency. Whether this “tech-first” style works for everyone or just looks good on paper is the big question everyone is watching.
