Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seated alongside the Chief Minister Designate and Haryana Governor as per the Protocol.

The Chief Ministers of various states and the Union Ministers were seated at one place.

Chandrababu Naidu was sitting right between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP President JP Nadda.

They are easily the number two and number three in the BJP right now. And Naidu getting a seat right between them is an indication how important an ally the TDP is for the BJP.

In the recent General Election, the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fell short of the halfway mark in Parliament by 32 seats.

TDP has emerged as the second-largest party in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) by securing 16 Lok Sabha seats. The seat arrangement indicates the importance Naidu has in this Government.

The BJP has also banked on the Janata Dal (United), led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, which won 12 Lok Sabha seats, and other smaller NDA partners to form the Government.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was also invited to the oath ceremony.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time in several years will be chairing a meeting of the NDA partners and chief ministers and deputy chief ministers in Chandigarh later today.

There were rumors in the Regional Media that Chandrababu Naidu will be given a key post in the NDA.
