Andhra Pradesh is all set to become the first state in the country to provide Zippr code to all the households across the state. These Zippr Codes will simplify the address into an eight dight alphanumeric code and the generated address are called as ‘smart addresses’. These addresses will directly pin point the exact location when typed on a smart phone.

Zippr Codes are very popular in countries like USA and tech savvy Chief Minister of the state, Chandrababu Naidu is bringing it to India for the first time. Ground level staff will be given software enabled tablets to create these addresses for all the households in the state.If Zippr Codes come to use, it will bring in relief to people from explaining their address adding confusion to others.
The smart addresses creation will also be done along with the smart pulse household survey from next month. After collecting the data on various socio-economic parameters, the enumerators will create the zipper codes using their tablets and stick them on the walls of houses.
