BRS working president, KT Rama Rao, lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for not fulfilling the promise of increasing the pensions.
Today, he held a meeting with the BRS party leaders of the Sherilingampally constituency. Notably, Sherilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi defected to Congress a couple of months ago.
Speaking at the meeting, KTR remarked, “Within a week of being sworn in as Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu garu increased pensions in Andhra Pradesh. Why didn’t you do it even after all these months? Why have you forgotten about it?” questioned KTR.
He further alleged that Revanth failed to fulfil his promises within 100 days of swearing in as the Chief Minister.
He stated that even though some MLAs and corporators are leaving the party, there is no need to worry. He reassured the leaders that this phase is temporary and will change as the elections approach.
KTR mentioned that by-elections are unavoidable in Sherilingampally and promised to grant a BRS ticket to one of the leaders present at today’s meeting.
He also noted that tickets for corporators will be given to loyal leaders capable of providing strong competition to the defectors.
