Guntur Sitting MP Galla Jayadev withdrew from Politics thanks to the Vendetta Politics of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In his final political Pressmeet, Jayadev said Politics are not for the industrialists as one has to get more than 70 approvals/renewals every year from various Local, State, and Central Agencies which include the Pollution Control Board, Water Department, Forests Department, Electricity Board, Labour, Revenue, Fire and many others and each of these agencies can be weaponized by the party in power.
Jayadev triggered a big discussion and also a worry about the future of the country.
Besides losing Jayadev is a big issue for the Telugu Desam Party. Not every day you get a politician like Jayadev.
He is tailor-made for the Guntur Parliament. He is an industrialist with a profound name and fame, a stellar political background, and a clean image. His frank speeches in the Parliament also gained popularity among the people. Moreover, his community also favors the political equations in Guntur.
No wonder he got re-elected even when Jagan wave swept the state.
So losing Jayadev was a big blow for the Telugu Desam Party.
But then, Chandrababu Naidu surprised everyone by bringing a very apt replacement.
Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar is likely to be the TDP candidate for Guntur Parliament. He is well-educated and worked in renowned Medical institutions in the USA including the World-famous Johns Hopkins University. He is also running a foundation that imparts free medical care to uninsured/underinsured patients in the Indian community of Dallas. His foundation in Guntur district focuses on philanthropic activities focusing on education, global crisis, and service basic needs.
Pemmasani is proving to be more active in the constituency than Jayadev Galla. He is touring the entire constituency and is addressing the public. He has a likable personality and is carrying himself well in public.
Jayadev used to struggle a bit while talking in Telugu but Pemmasani is fluent and easily connecting to the people. Pemmasani is also spending more time in the constituency, unlike Jayadev.
Also, Jayadev used to have limited connections with local leaders. But Pemmasani is proving to be different. He is taking all the leaders along with him and working with them. The other day, he facilitated a meeting of Nadendla Manohar and Alapati Raja in Tenali.
Raja missed the Tenali ticket after the seat was allocated to Janasena. He brought them together.
He is also a financially strong candidate like Jayadev. So, he is certainly a very good replacement for Galla Jayadev.
Meanwhile, Jagan has appointed Ponnur MLA Kilaru Venkata Rosaiah as the incharge of the Guntur Parliament.
