In the wake of Criticism from Opposition over Polavaram, the state government had decided to keep all the expenses of the project in online on a day to day basis. The Chief Minister had asked the HODs to take it upon a priority basis.

The details will include the central funds, the costs incurred by the state government, expenses under relied and rehabilitation, project construction progress and others. Opposition including Pawan Kalyan had demanded a white paper on Polavaram.
Going a step further, Chandrababu Naidu asked the details to be made available to everyone on a day to day basis going further to avoid unnecessary controversies. On the other side, the Central Government had released 318.22 Crore for the project as a part of expenses incurred by the state towards the project.
