Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is a changed man after that Delhi Tour. He is speaking in the BJP voice. BJP, on the other side, is hobnobbing with YSR Congress and is staying away from TDP.
TDP cadre is worried about this arm-twisting tactics and is demanding that Chandrababu should not yield. The other day, Chandrababu extended support to Pawan Kalyan as the state government decided to file a case on the latter in the volunteers’ issue.
Despite being nice to Pawan, Chandrababu is keen on not budging from the pressure. The other day, Chandrababu announced an in-charge for the Rajanagaram constituency in East Godavari.
This is one seat where Janasena is strong. Pawan Kalyan announced Battula Balaramakrishna as the in-charge here and two days after that, Chandrababu also announced the in-charge indicating that the pressure won’t work on him.
In the days to come, TDP will be announcing in-charges for the seats Janasena will be asking for. Chandrababu will also tour such constituencies which he avoided so far.
It is for Pawan Kalyan to decide if he will be on TDP’s side or end up on the losing side (like in 2019) staying in the good books of a 1% Vote Share party.
The TDP – Janasena alliance will only succeed when seat-sharing happens as per the strength of the parties. If Pawan Kalyan insists on more seats or if he divides the Opposition vote by taking BJP’s side, it will only ease things for Jagan.
