YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Sharmila’s assets controversy has been a trending topic in Andhra Pradesh politics for the last couple of days.
In her nomination affidavit, it was stated that Sharmila took a loan of Rs. 82.58 crore from her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy and Rs. 19.56 crore from Jagan’s wife Bharati Reddy.
Later, she opened up about the reason behind taking a loan from her brother. She alleged that instead of giving a share in their family’s property, Jagan gave an iota of the property’s share and gave build-up as he gave a loan.
Today, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu made a satire on this assets dispute between Jagan and Sharmila. Speaking at the Gajapathinagaram public meeting, Chandrababu said that while NT Rama Rao gave the right of equal share to girl children in their family property, Jagan, instead of giving a share, gave a loan to his sister.
“In 1986, our leader NT Rama Rao garu gave the right for girl children to have equal share in their family properties. While we gave that right to equal share, Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a loan to his sister instead of giving her property share,” remarked Chandrababu Naidu.
Babu reminded that everyone should remember the fact this great initiative was introduced by NT Rama Rao way back in 1986 while Jagan is unable to use it within his own family. Stating this example, he appealed to voters to cast their votes wisely.
