Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is known for his strict and efficient governance. He always aims for perfection and takes any mistakes from the government’s side very seriously.
In the cabinet meeting held today, Naidu expressed his dissatisfaction over the complaints being received regarding the free sand policy.
He emphasized that the objectives of the sand policy must be achieved at any cost. He was serious about cabinet ministers after hearing complaints from people who were still being charged large amounts for sand, despite the implementation of the state’s free sand policy.
It is reported that Chandrababu was furious upon learning that some middlemen were charging money for sand, despite the government’s decision to provide it for free to help people construct their homes without adding an extra financial burden on the poor and middle class.
He seems to have warned that he would not keep calm if any such discrepancies were found again in the free sand policy. He said that everything should be set right within 10 days. He warned that stringent action will be taken if wrongdoing is found once again.
He instructed the in-charge ministers to take full responsibility for preventing any misconduct in the implementation of the free sand policy.
He ordered the removal of all unnecessary conditions and directed that only minimal charges should be applied for the transportation and excavation of sand.
