The Andhra Pradesh High Court granted bail to Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, and Chevireddy’s follower Venkatesh Naidu. However, the bail petitions of main accused Raj Kasireddy and Avinash Reddy were dismissed by the Court.
The Court imposed several restrictions on those who were granted bail. They were directed to submit their passports in the Magistrate Court. They were also told not to leave the country without prior permission.
The High Court further placed restrictions related to bank transactions. Detailed instructions on financial activities are yet to be officially communicated. More clarity is expected in the coming days.
Earlier, the Court had granted bail to five other accused in the liquor scam case. Jagan’s OSD Krishnamohan Reddy, Jagan’s secretary Dhanunjaya Reddy, and Bharti Cements director Balaji Govindappa were among them.
Rajampet MP Mithun Reddy also received bail along with another accused. With the latest order, the total number of people granted bail has reached eight. This comes after several days of legal proceedings.
