Chiranjeevi Gets Relief In Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court directed the GHMC to take appropriate action on a long-pending regularisation plea of Megastar Chiranjeevi regarding structural modifications to his residence on Road No. 25, Jubilee Hills.

The actor originally obtained permission in 2002 to build a G+2 residential structure and carried out renovations in 2016.

The GHMC opines that the changes made in the name of renovation violate the rules.

In January 2016, Chiranjeevi filed an application seeking the regularisation of certain additions made to his house.

The GHMC is yet to act on the application filed under the Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS) in January 2016.

However, the Corporation had permitted the construction of a retaining wall in 2017.

With the regularisation application pending, Chiranjeevi made another request in June 2025, asking the civic body to inspect and regularise the alterations under the provisions of the GHMC Act, but the file remains unresolved.

That forced him to approach the High Court.

The GHMC told the court that the application would be processed in due course.

Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy, noting the prolonged delay, directed the GHMC Commissioner to review the application, seek a response from Chiranjeevi, and issue appropriate orders in accordance with the law.
