Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, Chiranjeevi opened up about the rumours of joining BJP. Namasthe Telangana Newspaper prominently published the news that Chiranjeevi will be joining BJP on March 6th in the presence of Party President Amit Shah who is going to attend a big public meeting in Rajahmundry.

Chiranjeevi clarified that he will stay with Congress and there are no plans of changing the party. “I have no thought of changing party. I will stay in Congress till I am in politics. Please put a full stop to these rumours now,” Chiranjeevi appealed to media. Chiranjeevi is staying aloof from Congress since the 2014 elections defeat.
And that is giving rise to speculations every now and then. Especially as his brother setup a new party and is being close to BJP, these rumours are being spread widely. On the other side, Congress is solely depending on Chiranjeevi’s image in the state.
