The investigation into the case involving Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani has resumed with the Andhra Pradesh CID taking over from the Vijayawada police. After a brief pause, Jethwani and her parents appeared before the authorities today as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The government recently issued an official order transferring the case to the CID, and in response, CID officials have already seized records from the Ibrahimpatnam police station.
In a significant development, YSRCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar, the prime accused (A1) in the case, was arrested by the police. The CID has petitioned the court for Vidyasagar’s custody to further their investigation. They are also re-recording the statements of Jethwani and her family to gather more information in light of the new investigation.
Additionally, the CID has filed a petition requesting seven days of custody for Vidyasagar to continue their interrogation. The court has directed the accused to file a counter, and the next hearing on the matter is scheduled for November 4th.
