Communal clashes kill two in Hyderabad
The ghost of communal clashes came back haunting Hyderabad once again. It is said that some Muslim youth near Sikh Chawni near Bahadurpura, adjacent to the Old City, burnt Sikh religious flag in the early hours of Wednesday. Immediately few persons have attacked them and following that cummunal tensions broke out with attacks on houses followed.

Contingents of armed police and paramilitary forces, which were brought to the city for election security, were rushed to the area. It is said that police had to resort to firing to control the mob killing two persons.At least 10 private vehicles were burnt in the violence while a video camera mounted vehicle of the Cyberabad Police was attacked. Indefinite curfew was imposed in Rajendranagar police station area and later in the entire old city area to avoid any untoward incidents from taking place.
