Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) had decided that the party should be boycotting Namasthe Telangana Newspaper and T-News News Channel in the state. TPCC had sent a directive to all the leaders not to give any interviews to both of them and also asked not to participate in the discussion programs as well.

Both Namasthe Telangana and T-News are owned by TRS Party. Congress party opined that both the media houses are working for the interests of the ruling party and is only keen on demeaning other parties. And so the main opposition party had decided not to co-operate with them going further.
Opposition parties in Telangana are suffering from the problem with media as majority of media houses are leaning towards the ruling party either for favours or the fear of facing the government’s wrath. Opposition leaders feel that Telangana government banning ABN and TV9 for few months has reined the media in favour of TRS.
