Ap Congress

The ruling Congress party doesn’t seem to looking at ending their tirade with Tollywood. Already CM Revanth Reddy has decided to discipline the film industry by setting down various guidelines.

In tow with the CM, various Congress members are expressing their opinion to the media. Just today, some Congress leaders wondered about the contribution to Telangana State by Tollywood.
Given the outstanding growth of the Telugu industry many questions are being raised by the party. One member was heard saying how and why a top hero was taking home Rs 300 crore as remuneration? He also wondered what was so great about the actor’s acting that he be given that kind of money.

While Tollywood is expecting tax benefits, the Telangana Congress leaders are time and again provoking the huge monies that Tollywood biggies have been making in the past few years.
Only the other day, MLA Bhupati Reddy said he intended to ban Allu Arjun films in Telangana. However, the state government has asked its party members to refrain from commenting on the matter as the case was going on.

Media is also witnessing reports of how the film industry has become too big for its own good and Congress loyalists say cutting down Tollywood would benefit many upcoming film-makers, single theatre owners.
