Congress Manifesto

The Indian National Congress (INC) is gearing up for the Telangana Assembly polls on November 30, aiming for victory with a comprehensive election manifesto.

The manifesto vows to provide Rs 1 lakh and 10 grams of gold to eligible women at the time of marriage under the Indiramma Gift scheme. It includes free internet for students, electric scooters for college-going women, a Rs 100-crore journalist fund, Interest-free crop loan up to Rs 3 lakhs, and a waiver of Rs 2 lakh crop loans for farmers.

The manifesto also promises Rs 15,000 per annum per acre to tenant farmers, Rs 12,000 per year to agricultural workers, Rs 25,000 monthly honorary pension to the family of Telangana martyrs along with government job. The manifesto also pledges a judicial probe into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.

Reviving the popular ‘Praja Darbar,’ a grievance redressal mechanism, features prominently. The manifesto addresses diverse concerns such as education, employment, healthcare, and agriculture, promising to fill government job vacancies, establish IIITs, and provide social security for unrecognized sector workers.

Other commitments encompass uninterrupted free power for the farm sector, crop insurance, and a new version of the Dharani portal.
