The corona cases continue to rise in the Government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The number of corona cases in schools is increasing day by day. In a single day (Thursday), 14 students were diagnosed with corona. Corona infected 9 students in Veerapally and Vedullacheruvu schools in the Prakasam district.
Three students of Matsyapuri and Vatlur ZP High Schools of West Godavari district have been diagnosed with corona. Two children in Krishna District Sankarampadu Primary School were found to be corona positive. The number of corona victims in schools in the Prakasam district has risen to 22.
Parents, teachers, and students are concerned with corona cases. Basing on the number of cases, the authorities are closing down schools for 2-7 days whenever the cases are found. There are allegations that private schools are hiding the cases in the name of saving reputation.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government has decided to open schools from KG to PG from September 1st.
