
Covid cases in India are rising again, driven by a new variant that is affecting many people. The major impact of this wave is being felt in Kerala, where around 2,000 cases have been reported.
The total number of Covid cases across the country has now crossed 6,000. This new variant, named JN.1, has also claimed 6 lives in the last 24 hours.

A sudden surge in cases has been observed in Haryana and Odisha as well. Patients are being advised to isolate at home and wear masks when in public.
