Crime-Rankings-Where-Do-USA-India-StandRight now, all eyes are on the US for becoming one of the most violent countries in the world given the spate of gun violence.

Gun violence and mass shootings in America are pressing issues that have garnered significant attention in recent years. But what’s interesting to note is that in the world criminal ranking, the USA has come 55th and next comes the UK followed by India.

So for those of you who are intrigued, here are some countries that topped the list – on top comes Venezuela followed by Papua New Guinea, Afghanistan, South Africa, Honduras, Trinidad, Guyana, Syria, Somalia, and Jamaica in that order.

Then there are other forms of crimes like robbery and assault due to the high unemployment rate in the country. For the unversed, the number of crimes of any kind is divided by the total population and then multiplied by 100,000. This yields the overall crime rate as the crime rate is reported as X number of crimes per 1 lakh people.

India is somewhere in the middle and while it is not in the red zone, it surely is not at a commendable position.
