The D-day is almost here. On November 11 (Tuesday), Jubilee Hills will go to by-election, with polling scheduled from 7 AM to 6 PM. The constituency has nearly 4 lakh registered voters.

A total of 407 polling centers have been set up across 139 areas. Election officers distributed election kits from Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda. Hyderabad district election officer RV Karnan briefed the media, confirming that EVMs were being dispatched from DRC centers.

He added that polling officers were assigning polling stations and ensuring that EVMs reached the booths by Monday evening. Karnan assured that he was personally monitoring all arrangements.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Joint CP Tafseer Iqbal announced that drones will be deployed to monitor security across the Jubilee Hills constituency. He stated that each candidate would receive one polling agent pass and that polling time had been extended till 6 PM to accommodate the large voter turnout.

Tafseer Iqbal said 226 critical polling centers across 65 areas would be monitored by paramilitary forces. He also confirmed that Section 144 would be in effect throughout polling areas and that outsiders were being evacuated from the constituency until voting concludes.

Hotels and community halls are being checked, and any outsiders found will face legal action, warned Iqbal. He noted that no law and order issues have been reported so far.

In total, 1,761 local police personnel and 8 CISF companies will oversee the polling process in Jubilee Hills, ensuring smooth and secure voting.
