The counting for MPTCs and ZPTCs began this morning in Seema Andhra and Telangana regions. Since the polling is done with ballot papers, counting is getting delayed. Also due to the postponement of results, Ballot boxes have suffered damage in some areas due to entering of rain water and the attack of pests. It is said that the counting may go on till midnight. In Seemandhra, TDP is leading with 454 MPTCs and is closely followed by YSRCP with 366.
TDP leaders say the results are fast arriving from Kurnool and Kadapa which is the reason for slender lead and they are confident that TDP will cruize once the results from Srikakulam to Guntur start arriving. In Telangana, Congress was leading the tally in early hours but by afternoon, TRS rushed in to the top spot. According to recent trends, TRS has bagged 180 while Congress is closely following with 175. TDP is in distant third with winning 75 MPTCs.
