Entire Hyderabad's Development Is In Amrapali Kata Hands!

The government of Telangana issued orders for the transfers of 44 IAS and IPS officers and other services. Amrapali Kata has been replaced as Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Full Additional Charge (FAC).

She replaced Ronald Rose who has been transferred to the position of Secretary to Government, Energy Department.

After Congress came into power, Amrapali was appointed as the chief of many major portfolios of the Hyderabad City.

She is now the Joint Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA, Managing Director of Musi River Front and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), Incharge project Director of Hyderabad Outer Ring Road and Commissioner of GHMC.

The city’s development and future are in her hands right now as she will most probably handle these portfolios for the next five years.

Amrapali was born in Visakhapatnam and pursued her graduation in IIT Madras. She later studied MBA at IIM Bangalore.

She secured All-India 39th rank in UPSC and belongs to the IAS 2010 batch. She started off her career as a sub-collector in the Rangareddy district.

Later, she worked as a joint collector of Rangareddy and collector of Warangal Rural and Warangal Urban districts.

She later worked as private secretary to Union Minister Kishan Reddy and deputy secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.

After Congress came into power in Telangana last year, she was given the responsibilities of key positions in GHMC and HMDA.
